INTRODUCTION

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

I am Ambreen Sidhu, a high school student with a passion for writing.

I have started working on a collection of non-fiction short stories surrounding real-life migrants and their lives so as to humanise their experiences and bring awareness to not only their struggles but also their achievements. This collection is intended to give migrants much-deserved representation, as well as to highlight their ways of living to the middle and upper classes of Chandigarh having the power to contribute to a better life for their fellow Indians.
 When these stories are published, it is my hope that they achieve positive change.

Our Mission

The Lotus Diaspora’ is an upcoming collection of non-fiction short stories focussing on the lives of migrant workers living in Chandigarh, addressing systematic socio-economic issues plaguing their quality of life. To spread awareness for this important cause, fundraisers, book launches and many more events will be featured on this website, and the earnings from this book will be donated to the migrants featured in the book.
